Member Testimonies

Marin Leaders Institute members have found the experience transformative in their efforts renew their connection to their passion and purpose in work, and develop a deeper awareness of their personal leadership strengths.

The following comments from participants are typical:

“MLI encourages ED's to deliberately balance their roles and responsibilities, while diligently practicing self-care. We engage in rich dialog and are encouraged to leave the circle with "next steps", which remind us that our work is continuous and doesn't end once we leave the session. I appreciate the invaluable information shared and best practices that I am able to glean from my cohorts.”

- Andrea Bizzell, Executive Director, Novato Human Needs Center

“The peer element is incredible. As an ED, you typically don’t have peers in the organization – it can be a big challenge. The MLI is a huge peer group of experienced professionals that help me on a weekly basis. The networking and established peer group have greatly expanded my ability as an Executive Director.”

- Cleve Justis, Executive Director, Headlands Institute, Yosemite National Institutes
