Features of Successful Projects
Clarity of Purpose
A well-defined project description, with delineated outcomes and reasonable deadlines, is essential to success and should be recorded in a Memorandum of Agreement signed by all parties.
Good Communication
Whether by phone, email or in person, ongoing communication about the project reduces problems and helps reach project goals, and is fostered by good chemistry between the Executive Director and Consultant.
Board Member Involvement
Board member involvement is important to the success of any large project.
Project Completion
Like a good story, a successful project has a beginning, middle, and end. The project ends when the stated goals have been met.
